Bullying

I hate bullying. In all it's forms. I hate prejudice. In all it's forms.

There are enough shitty conflicts in the world and enough problems that need solving without idiots going around body shaming, mum shaming, you're too gay/religious/female/male/disabled and on and on and on.

Worse than just saying it to each other, we spread it around the internet, we buy it in our media. Newspapers spreading racial hatred and 'beauty' magazines telling us we're not good enough. It's no wonder the world is full of insecure people with low opinions of themselves, who then lash out at someone else to make themselves feel superior.

Just stop it!

Bullying someone else to make yourself feel good just makes you a twat. Buying into pathetic stereotypes just makes you a twat. So what if that little girl wants to play with cars and that little boy wants to wear pink shoes. Where is the harm in that? There isn't any.

So stop bitching at each other and go do something productive. Go write a letter to your MP about something you feel passionate about. Go feed the homeless. Go volunteer at an animal rescue centre. Or just get on with your own life without interfering in someone else's.

I'm going to give you homework, yes I know I can't check up on you but I'm doing it anyway, loving yourself is important. So it's time to stop putting yourself down. Every morning when you wake up, say something nice about yourself. Look in the mirror and say it out loud. Then throughout the day, whenever you feel down on yourself, turn it around and say something nice. If you feel like it, go one step further. Tell someone you see, who looks like they need cheering up, something nice about them. The smallest thing can cheer someone up. You never know you might just make their day.

Take care
